Tomorrow I finish up my psych eval. After that I schedule to see the surgeon to schedule the surgery. Nervous as I did not plan on having surgery again. I have the band which was placed in 2010. Prolapsed about 2 years ago and nothing but trouble since. Tired of not being able to eat without pain and vomiting. At the same time nervous about another surgery. Any advise would be welcome. Risks? I hear many people talk of fatigue. I am a single mother and need to work, the fatigue has me worried. Although i am always tired now with little energy and poor sleeping patterns. Would love input on this.

I haven't noticed the fatigue outside of the first week with clear liquids, I do notice that I go to bed a lot earlier, probably about an hour earlier. I haven't heard many people complain about the lack of energy.

I think the added energy from eating healthy and losing LBS offsets the loss from calorie restriction, just a guess.

I had the lap band done in 2009. It didn't work well for me either, so I had it removed in February, and just got the sleeve done on Tuesday. I'm seven days post op. I was told the fatigue comes from the lack of Protein in the diet, also have to continue taking a Multivitamin ( gummies). Once I increased my protein intake the fatigue was down to a minimum. It's all about your body getting readjusted. The first few days after the sleeve, will be challenging, but you will get through it. Good luck with everything.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
