I've had no weight loss for two weeks now! How is that even possible? So discouraged...

Are you reaching your Protein goal? fluid goals? If you are then you are doing everything that you can. The rest is up to your body. I've been stalling about every 4th week. It's part of the journey.

I understand that stalls are normal, but if you had surgery five weeks ago and have lost 27 pounds in those five weeks . . . wow! That's fantastic! I can't even imagine losing 27 pounds in a little more than a month. Hang on in there--your journey is just beginning, but it's beginning really well, stalls aside. This will pass.

almost everyone has their first stall within 4-6 weeks after surgery. We call it "the three week stall", even though it's not always on the third week post-op. But do a search for it - you'll find thousands of threads on it. It happens to almost everybody.

I had a three week stall right at four weeks out, like you. I even gained five pounds! I honestly started losing once I started eating a little bit more. I'm about 4 months out and I'm having a stall too. Really is interesting how we can have such a large caloric deficit but not lose weight every week. This will pass! We just need to keep on doing the right things.

I had a stall around week four as well. I'm stalling again... for the first time since the beginning. I'm eight months post-op. Sucks. But just stick with it and do everything you know to do: Protein, fluids, walking... because I don't think you're allowed to do anything else until six weeks.

I completely agree with everything posted above! ^

I know how you feel! In the beginning the weight was melting off and then there was a little period where I started to stabilize. I got it going again by focusing on keeping my metabolism strong.

Stick with things and hang in there girl! Rome wasn't built in a day :)

I am about 5 months out. I have had more stalls than I wish to count. I lose for 1-2 weeks and stall for 2-3 weeks. With that said I'm still down 70 lbs since surgery. It's hard day to day or week to week. When you start looking month to month and can focus on the bigger picture it helps get through the stalls.

I can sympathize with you on gaining weight to qualify for surgery. My endocrinologist suggested surgery when I was at 35.5 BMI and I wasn't ready to talk about it because I knew nothing about it. I started losing weight on my own with a low carb diet and then researched it and decided it would be a good fit for me. Well by then my BMI was under the required 35 to be covered. I went to Mexico. It was the best thing I have ever done for myself and worth every penny.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
