Hi All,

I was sleeved during December last year and it is going to be six months in 10 days from now. I've been experiencing sharp pain over my belly button (especially in and around the area where the incision was made during the surgery). At times I find it hard to inhale and exhale too.

The pain comes and goes every time I sit down or get up or try to walk faster. I cannot bend to lift anything. I have been going through every little detail in my mind, but cannot remember lifting anything heavy. I do moderate exercises and use the elliptical for 10-15 mins everyday (which I haven't this whole week). The pain over the belly button started about 2 days ago and last night was hell. I was unable to sleep straight or turn on either side.

I called my doctor and he is out of town and will be back by Thursday, which means I've got 1.5 more days to go until I get this resolved. I don't want to go to any new doctor for now. I have a high threshold for pain and I know this time it is bad.

I was ignoring the pain saying it should just be gas or abdominal cramps. Has anyone experienced something similar? Any suggestions? Honestly, I am scared (scared by the thought, what if they ask me to undergo any other surgery or any expensive tests, as I put in all the savings for the surgery) and I went completely against my husband to get this done for having a good health.

Could you have an Umbilical Hernia? I have one that causes that kind of pain and my surgeon will be repairing it in about 6 months. I was sleeved on April 24th and she repaired my hiatal hernia but had to wait to repair the umbilical one. Just a thought. Hope you feel better soon!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
