If I had one they removed it before I woke up.

I was told I'd have one and that surgery was two hours? Wth?

Bypass n sleeve take around 1.5-2 hours then at my hospital my pts stay in PACU for about an hour so like 4-5 hours about for whole ordeal. Everyone gets a catheter...something I'm not happy about...but every pt says they were glad after bc they didn't feel up to going to bathroom first day bc of drugs

Yeah had one. Surgery took Max 2 hours then everyone in Bariatric goes into HDU for 24hrs. Very happy I had catheter in as those 24hrs I couldn't get up to go.

I had one, they left it in for about 24 hours. Once I was off my IV they took out the Cath. Also I was sleeved and my surgery took about 1.5 hours according to my hubby.

I had both a catheter and a drain. The catheter was in overnight. I think I had both because I'd had 2 lap bands over 17 years. I don't recall how long the surgery was because I was alone in the hospital. The surgeon did say that they had to do a hernia repair and deal with a mess of stitches from the second lap band installation so I think it took longer than expected.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
