Banded 10-2 and feeling seriously dehydrated

Recommended Posts

Aloha from Hawaii,

I was banded three days ago. Im doing well and have some pain but not much. I'm trying to get the liquids in me and yesterday I had chicken broth twice, 2 oz of sf Jello, 2 cups of Water, and a cup of tea. I woke up this morning and feel like my eyes are sunken, my face is sunken and my hands well swirveled up. I use to drink at least a galllon of Water a day because i was breastfeeding up to a month ago. Any thoughts?> Oh, i had a half bottle of my Isopure too. I plan on getting in some of those today.

Miriam

PS what to do about the stomach swelling..

Again, just keep sipping Water. I know it can get crazy boring so try and sip different things.....ice tea with splenda, crystal light, juice cut with water, ect..... I was also really dehydrated after surgery and i had to FORCE myself to drink. Also, for the swelling....it'll go down on it's own, but I noticed that the more movement I did the faster it went down compared to some of my friends that got banded with me. Also, if you walk and exercise you'll want to drink more, so it helps on both ends. Good luck!

Hi, Get some gatorade, Vitamin Water and pedialyte popsicles. They all have electrolytes in them and will help you. Water didn't do it for me. Walking does make you thirtier. I too was banded just 4 days ago, my problem is diarrhea when I have that horrid broth!! Good Luck!

HEY. I got mine on 10/2 too. I've been drinking a little warm tea as well as sugar free kool-aid, since I'm really bad about just regular Water. I hope you're feeling better.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
