Everything looks good, food wise. I better get off Pinterest. Well, I know this is going to be a live and learn deal in the beginning, but I'm going to try a scrambled egg softened up with a splash of milk. Maybe.

EGG UPDATE:

Success!!!! Lol. I ate 1/2 an egg with a tad bit of low fat cheese on it. I was concerned at first because of how slow it was going down. I could feel it. So I opted to walk back and forth while I chewed on tiny bites. It was very hard to tell when I was full though. So, when I burped as if I needed to make room, I stopped. I didn't want to push it at all. I also didn't have the urge to want to eat everything I saw too. That's when I know my stomach has settled. Then I went for a walk at a Walmart. Lol. Had to get dog food and a salad for my husband, ended up buying more stuff, as always, but it was a good walk all around the store.

Another bit of great news....I'll have a functioning kitchen, I get my new countertops tomorrow

:)

Hurray for you @Newme17!!! I am so happy you are getting your kitchen back and eating the egg went well.

Your experience makes me think I will do ok when I start on some new foods.

I do think every surgeon has their own plan and most of the time there are slight differences. My plan had me on clear liquids only the first week while many are allowed protein shakes and yogurt. I have even seen that some docs go to purée on day 2 post-op.

I couldn't and wouldn't follow your plan. That's just too much for me.

Beans are on my plan starting week 4, but my surgeon is a little conservative. I don't understand the no beans at all.
