It's his own fear that is making him lash out at you. He is mentally weak and trying to show you how strong he is through physical force. It's great that you recognized you need out of this.. You will rise a healthier, Happier, In control mom. Years of emotional abuse is hard to get over.. Look for support groups it will help you tremendously .. Been there.. I'm in control of my life.. Best wishes
  2. Hi, I have not lost weight since I started started stage 2. My weight keeps going back and forth between 3 lbs. up and down but remains the same. Today is day 18 post op and i finally start pureed foods last night. I get a feeling of fullness but i have not felt any restrictions. It takes me 15 minutes to finish a shake. I can eat a whole pudding cup or yogurt without difficulty. I have been keeping track of my intake and i am getting in my 60-70 gm of protein everyday. My calorie intake is between 600 to 800. I do my 30 minute walks weather permitting. I do increased housework on these last rainy days. The last 2 days i know i have not been taking in enough water. drinking only 32 oz instead 64, other wise have been right on track. I am very happy that i have lost some weight, but feeling very discouraged that nothing else is coming off after having such a huge surgery. Any suggestions? Id appreciate some help. Thank you so much.
  3. That was great information that I received from the last 2 post. Im very appreciative you both took the time to respond. I defiantly do not want to be losing muscle at this point, but it looks like it may be unavoidable. I also was not aware of the 2 week stall. thanks that helps a lot.. As far as a status update on me I have lost one lb, but im still going up and down on the scale. I do weigh my self daily that is is personal choice i have made and do it the same time every day when i first wake up. Thanks again for the great info
  4. Ok .. misstated then.. Well definitely the metabolism has slowed down due to the lack of caloric intake. That what would explain not losing any weight right?
  5. That is all your to be taken in right now.. You need time for your stomach to heal. Right now the main focus at this stage is just getting your body the Proteins it needs.. 60-70grams..you will slowly build your calorie intake with each new level...
  6. yes it is frustrating especially with such a low calorie intake not to be losing something, anything... but i wasn't aware like someone had mentioned above that my metabolic rate has also slowed down to adjust for the almost starvation mode my body is in, even though i dont feel at all like i am in starvation mode. I have had a couple of huge wins already, i must be losing inches because my shorts from last year that were tight are just hanging one me! and when i took a bath the water actually flowed over my stomach! exciting stuff.
  7. I am 20 days out and have to take a nap almost everyday. I have been reading from other post this last until about week 7 or 8. Im not sure if your protein intake was a typo, but your body needs at least 60 grams of Protein minimum a day. Let your body rest it needs it to heal and adjust. Good Luck
  8. yes, agreed i will need to increase my calorie intake. Thats probably why i was so exhausted and needed a full day of rest, after just a 30 minute workout. I also appreciate all advice that i have received and am learning a lot from those that are more experienced with this than I. Thank you all again
  9. Just want to say you all are so very supportive and I love all the feedback. Thank you all so much
  10. yes the first was white meat.. so that expalins it.
  11. that is great advice. I did find that i do have to up the intensity of my excersice. With this surgery it does make it so hard because usually after my walk I am so exhausted I have to take a nap. I tried to do a workout on Beach body on demand called You v2. Its actually a really good and easy steps to follow. I loved it . Its a 30 min. video . But i was not able to keep up with the full thing and I ended up stopping before it was over. and the next day I was so tired I just slept way to much and didnt even go for a walk. This was surprising for me, Today im going to try it again and try to get a couple more calories in since i think that might be part of the problem. Also a side note about food. I am on pureed foods. and my doctor said i could eat regular meat as long as i chewed it up to a mechanical soft before i swallowed. So i tried to eat some chicken and even copped it up to mechanical soft before I chewed it . This was the first time i vomited since the surgery. I tried it again the next day with a chicken leg and ate it right off the bone with no problem. lol maybe its my cooking since my husband was the one that grilled.
  12. Hi Newbie, I will try amping up the exercise. and maybe even increasing my calorie intake might help a little. I do have some limitations do to some previous injuries but will do as much as i can. Hopefully i can walk a little further than i have in the past. I am excited to take on these new challenges. Sounds like you are doing great so far. It feels amazing when it starts coming off. Thank you. I wish you good health and good luck
  13. thank you all for your input, it really does mean a lot, keep in mind i'm only 5 ft. 2.
  14. I have lost 10 lbs since my surgery date which i am very happy with that. I have lost a total of 17 lbs with the surgery diet and after surgery. Im not obsessing over 3lbs, I think you missed the point. I am not losing weight since 1 st stage diet . I have been the same weight for 2 weeks within 3 lbs. I am seeing that people have lost up to 30 lbs by now and i have lost only 10. Thank you so much for the suggestions.
  15. You Know you have lost when the bathtub water actually covers your stomach .
  16. Do some research on what foods help naturally fight hormonal imbalance. I know sweet potatoes are one of the miracle foods if your Dr. will allow them in your diet for a while. 1 small one a day. As far as acne make sure you are drinking the required 60 oz of water a day. good luck, hope it gets better. I went through that too but I'm only 2 weeks post op. As soon as i started my period it calmed down.
  17. I took a bisacodyl womens laxative. I made it a rule of thumb that if i dont have a bowl movement on the third day I have to take the laxative pill until I do. Follow direction on box. I had issues for the first two weeks. Then I also started taking a daily stool softener that has seemed to help a lot .
  18. Wow I guess everyone's doctor is different. we were told no beans, potatoes, carbs for 1 year
  19. May 8th sleeved here.. I thought we were to avoid beans for the first year?
  20. Lol wish I would of asked! I struggled just trying shakes and yogurt and I broke today! My poor hubby! I yelled at him to get outta my way until I get some dang food!! Then I went online and searched and found some awesome soup recipes for stage 2 in pin interest... I made some nice creamed spinach soup and now me and hubby are both happy again. [emoji4]

    Feeling alone

Just curious if you take any Vitamin D? This winter staying indoors Can play havoc with Vit-D.. levels .and can cause depression. I do take supplement for it because my blood work showed I was low.. I could tell a huge difference between night and day..I felt more energetic and my depression seemed to just lift and go away...
  22. Try to eat the highest protein Rich foods you can at the time you are allowed to eat.. Maybe try an extra scoop of protein powder to a drink. sorry I'm not familiar with fasting.. but when you are finished fasting because it's seems like you may not be getting in enough protein anyway.. My nutritionist suggested to eat 1 ounce of protein every hour instead of trying to get it all in during just a couple of meals a day.. I hope you find your Solution your looking for...

    Eating to little

Good habits take time to build. food tracker is so easy to do these days.. Try Fitness pal app. it's so easy to do and even has a scan bar that is easy to use and logs every calorie.. Even if you just do it a couple days out tif the week at least you will know if you are on track... Also just eating twice a day needs to be increased
