Hey!

So a few weeks ago I was having major back and side pain. Like, REALLY bad. After about 2 weeks of really bad shooting pain on my right side and my back and not taking my post surgery Vitamins for about 4 months (they got me really nauseous), I ended up in the ER for 12 hours. My biggest worry was that something was wrong with my Type 1 Diabetes so my endocrinologist demanded I go and get this checked out.

After many test including blood work, urine samples, X-rays and an ultra sound, doctors came to the conclusion that I have to get my Gaul bladder removed next week due to Gaul stones. I was reading something about how this is common with people that have had Bariatric surgery. Is this true? Have any of you guys had this problem? I was just curious if any of you guys have had this experience and what I should be prepared for. Thanks!

Ps- I didn't get it checked out for so long because I thought maybe all the pain was from carrying all of my heavy textbooks around due to the fact that I am a full time college student.

About ten years ago, I lost over a hundred pounds. I had severe chest pain that went undiagnosed for a year. My family doctor sat me down and told me it was all in my head and to stop complaining (I was so mad)! The hospital thought I was looking for drugs (I don't even drink). Convinced that I was dying, I moved back to my hometown and went to the ER. They drew a simple blood test and knew right away that my liver tests were off the charts. They had me back in the hospital to remove my gallbladder. It was infected and contained over 60 stones!!
Not too long afterwards, my old family dr that told me to stop complaining lost her license- I don't know the exact reason but good. She almost killed me.

I had my gall bladder removed a few years before surgery and let me tell you...you will feel so much better if its your gall bladder thats causing u the issue. I let my gall stones get so bad I had a gall bladder attack that caused an infection, the pain was horrible. I am so glad I don't have it now, I cant imagine having my sleeve and gall stones yikes! Best of luck

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
