I have surgery tomorrow too! I'm a little anxious, but mostly excited (though I'm sure that will change by tomorrow morning). We'll be okay, and looking back a year from now we'll both be glad we made this choice. :)

I am not gotime0810, and I did have surgery the same day. All went well. I left the hospital the next day. I had no problems with the stairs etc... I was tired and it was hard to take in fluids at first.

Today, I am off the narcotics and driving again.
I am still a little sore, but Tylenol is enough. Bending can be a challenge, but if I am careful, I can manage.

I did not realize that they want us to sleep at a 45° angle... I have an adjustable bed at home, but had hubby go buy a neck/travel pillow after the first night at home.

I am wearing the elastic stomach band when I am out and about. It helps keep everything stable.

So overall, everything has been fine.

how are you doing my surgery is tomorrow and I am a bit anxious.

My experience is a lot like Rosana's.

I had some minor nausea right after the surgery but they gave me a patch and that made things much better. I basically only ate ice chips the first day. I tried a bite of Jello and tried some broth but they didn't taste good. The second day I was put on full liquids so I had yogurt and pudding for Breakfast. I went home around noon and stayed on my pain meds for another 24 hours. Liquids have been a challenge but finally easier today. I felt really empty, not hungry just empty, until yesterday. I made some pudding with Protein and that helped take away that feeling. Honestly I wasn't walking around as much as I should but finally got out yesterday and that made a huge difference to relieve the bloated feeling in my abdomen area. The gas pain was never that bad for me, basically discomfort. Overall things have gone pretty smoothly. I have no regrets.

Good luck, you are going to do great!

Hi Everyone! I had the sleeve and I am almost 3 weeks post-op. I had surgery on the 17th of August. I am doing good but having difficulty getting in all my liquids. It's been hard trying to get it all in the las couple days. Everything went well during surgery and I also had a hernia repaired. Hope everyone has a good week! My name is Anita.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
