15 days post op...Still catching up on Sleep!

Recommended Posts

I'm back at work 40+ hours a week..."physical labor" and all I can do is rest when I get home. I don't want to go anywhere but home after a long day. I'm not eating enough , not drinking enough fluids to go hanging with my girls. They don't understand...and I could care less it's the weekend. I know it will be at least another month before I feel like ME!...

How are you new sleevers feeling at work or after work?

Are you exhausted?

I went back to work at 2 weeks post op and I come home and sleep or at least. Remember we just put our bodies through a lot. I do feel better just sleepy a lot.

Yes, I think because I made it through the surgery....I don't focus on the "actual" surgery that I had. It's a serious surgery and I've been poked, chopped, & stitched...I should look how I actually feel...."like ****"[emoji23] but, I will never feel that bad...I will remain cute...even in pain!..

I'm on day 8 of liquid pre op diet and finding that I'm tired and don't have my normal energy. I'm expecting that to continue to decrease over these last few days leading to surgery. So, I expect post op will be the same. My boss had someone else go through this process and he warned me about being tired. So he's given me carte Blanche to work from home after I recover. That takes the pressure off since I have over an hour commute each way on mass transit.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
