I am on "liquids"" for my pre-op diet. I can have yogurt and cottage cheese, even though I don't consider them liquids. What else is considered a liquid? Can I have broth with veggies in it? One person I know that was banded by the same dr. that is doing mine ate cottage cheese and tomatoes. I am confused.....:help:

Whoa! Tracy - LOVE your new picture! You look fantastic! Getting banded 11/09/07. You are an inspiration.

My pre-op diet starts 10/26/07 - all liquid for 2 weeks, Dr. does allow veggies along with the liquid diet.

Hi travelgirl,

Yes, I am being banded at Tall Grass. I see you are to. I have met another bandster who had her banding at Tall Grass. How was your experience. I would love to hear from you.

They are THE BEST. Everyone there is so helpful and caring. I had the best experience there, and they even made my hubby feel at ease during my surgery. I can't say enough good things about everyone there on their staff. The PA there does every other fill for most patients, and after he did a couple for me, I request him every time. He's AWESOME at fills. If you haven't met him yet, you will, his name is Robert Blanken. Tall skinny guy with a shaved head... If you have any questions, you can PM me, and I can try to answer them for you.

((((((((hugs))))))))

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
