One month and noticing a slow down

Recommended Posts

So I am at my 5 week mark and the lbs have been coming off like clockwork, until last week that is. Started at 371, surgery at 330, down to 290 last week, now I have stalled and even gained a pound or two back. I'm starting to freak a little because of it. I just recently went back to actual food, but I eat Protein first then veggies, rarely any fat (no fried food or anything). I exercise and walk, although stress over the past week from work is causing sleeping probs. I don't want to see that scale go the wrong way. Any advice?

Are you making your Protein and fluid goals? It's really important to get in the prescribed amounts of both. Many people experience a stall at the 3 week mark or so. Your body is just trying to adjust to everything that's happened to it. Keep plugging away and I'm sure it will pick back up.

After a loss, my body fluctuates up and down for a few days and then I lose another couple of pounds. I definitely never lose any weight the day after a good workout. I've learned to go with the flow!

You are at mile 0.1 of a marathon. Small fluctuations and stalls are totally normal. Don't stress, just keep doing what you're supposed to do and it'll work.

I had the exact same thing. Lost 28 lbs in the first month and then had 2 weeks where I only lost 2....but I just kept with it and am now losing again.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
