Greetings my name is Justin. I have been sorta lurking around for a few months just taking in all the information this site has to offer. I finally decided to join up so here I am. I was sleeved on February 20th. Surgery went well and the recovery thus far has gone smooth and better than most people described. My pre surgery weight was around 290 and my weight the day of surgery was 269.9 following the 2 week liquid diet. My weight loss has really slowed since surgery an I'm not where I should be according to NUT. I follow the diet to the smalllest detail. It has been hard to get all Protein and Fluid in but is getting easier. Just bummed that I am only down to 251.1. Thought I would see more losses at this point.

I think you're in the week 3 stall. It'll pick up again soon. Screw the NUT, honestly. If you are following the plan, your loses are what they are. And I was sleeved 2 days after you, started at 265.8 on surgery day and have been stuck at 251.4 for 5 days. Considering how little we're consuming, we're not doing anything wrong. Our bodies right now are saying, "what's going on?! I'm going to hold on to this as long as I can..." That lasts a week or so I hear.

Also your pre-surgery loses were impressive. I think people who lose massive amounts in the first month either have a lot more to lose or didn't lose as much before surgery. Whatever the cause, I think the reminder to not compare ourselves to others is wise.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
