Kinda off topic but I would like to bring a nice gift for the staff at my Bariatric office. They have been so helpful , above and beyond what I expected. I know I can't/ shouldn't bring them candy but I was thinking a nice fruit basket . Has anyone done this before, and how did you show your appreciation besides paying your bill ??

That's a great idea! I think I'll be doing the same. I love the surgeon and staff of the center where I go. They're so nice and doing everything for me. Flowers, fruit, gift certificates-movies, massages, cash gift cards, a nice handwritten letter of appreciation....

I think this is a great idea, too. I'd thought of sending the staff of my surgeon's office a New Year's card but never did. I need to do something. There was also an amazing nurse in recovery. Need to send her something. Thanks for bringing this up!

I think all these are really great ideas. Personally, I like the hand written note the best. I should think about those supporting me and figure out something for them. Thank you for the great idea!

I think one of the nicest things you can do for your surgeon and their team is to write a glowing online review........the gift that keeps on giving ;-) I also sent a beautiful card to my surgeon and his staff. They were wonderful.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
