Sleeved on 2-20, looking for a buddy

Recommended Posts

I almost had a meltdown today. My inconsiderate husband broke open a bag of corn chips & salsa & started crunching away (quite loudly, might I add) right there in front of me. I got up, went to my room & loudly closed the door. I know this isn't about him, it's about me, but I'm just having a tough day today.

How is the weight loss coming along for you? I feel that loosing 17 lbs in one month should have been more idk if I'm being hard on myself or what

My sleeve was 2/15, I'm down 18# since surgery. No pain, overall feel pretty good. Yesterday, the weather was nice so I went for a walk, then some light housework, and made dinner for the family. It was then I realized that I had been so busy that I had forgot to drink h20 for several hours, and I felt it. (The pre surgery me would have just drank down 20 oz with a straw in minutes. Not now.) I then spent the rest of the evening sipping Water all night.

I need to remember to drink while I'm working, Lifestyle changes post surgery, #learning curve. That's why physically I feel I can go back to work next week, I"m off till April. But mentally I need to stay off. I have short term disability ,so I am lucky, I know some have to return to work sooner. I saved up my vacation time from last year to supplement the STD in preparation for this. At work I'm so busy sometimes I don't drink or eat, I need to retrain myself before going back to work.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
