1 Week Post Gastric Sleeve - Hungry, Hungry, Hungry

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone, I'm new to BP. Had my Gastric Sleeve done on 2/15 with easy recovery but I am so hungry all the time now. I'm drinking 2-3 Premire shakes every day...drinking broth, tea, and Soup in between...taking my Prilosec as ordered....but am so, so hungry! So worried my surgery was a waste.

Hi- I had mine on 1/11 and also recovered quickly and smoothly. I was surprised by how hungry I felt; it seems like a key piece of info I wasn't informed of or anticipating. I heard endless stories of, "oh I couldn't imagine eating two bites of Jello, I had no appetite!" This was not my experience. Here's the good news: it goes away. As you're able to introduce actual food, you will finally feel satisfied. Rather, I did, I don't want to assume. During the early liquid stages I found the Campbell's healthy Tomato Soup mixed with skim milk was savory and had a thickness I found filling. Good luck to you- this stage is temporary!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
