Serious question, serious replies please!

Any other sleevers lose their sex drive after surgery? I'm two months post op and don't get turned on like I used to.. I lack the desire for sex now!

I am in a relationship and aside from the lack of sex, we don't have any problems.

Anybody else going through this?

There was a brief period. I attributed this to the fact that when you're rapidly losing weight your hormones get whacky for a bit. So it could be that. Give it a bit and it should balance out.

I've always had a much higher sex drive than my husband, and it's only now at about 4.5 months out it is coming back. I just felt "flat" about a lot of stuff, including sex. We're getting along fine, and he's supportive of the surgery (and appreciative of the results!) but I just was "meh." IDK why. I didn't have any hangry outbursts or crazy behavior (that I know of, anyway, LOL,) but the sex drive took a hit.

I, too, attribute it to the hormones. It is coming back slowly, but it's disheartening when everyone else is raving about being horny teenagers now!

I will say, when we DO fool around, it's a lot more fun;-)

I'm just 4 weeks out and had my gallbladder out at the same time so don't know that being active at this time would be a good idea for me but as for do I feel like being with my husband. Nope I do not. Too much other stuff going on and bless him he's so kind and patient with me about it. We are older too in our 50's so that also plays a factor. We're still quite affectionate with one another and spend time together talking and just had a date night out at the movies last night. Am hoping once am healed well and the hormones settle down we'll get back to our usual loving selves!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
