Anyone have delicious Protein Shake recipes?

Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I bought the isolate zero carb vanilla and low carb chocolate. I have been experimenting with different flavors by adding sugar free Jello (0.75 grams per 8 oz shake). Got some great concoctions! Cheesecake, Peanut Butter cup, butterscotch, white chocolate, even splitting the 0.75 portion between combined flavors just to keep it interesting! So far I have gotten some really good flavors. I am mixing with just cold Water, but you can also do this with low fat milk (I use FairLife)

A friend of mine runs a shake shop, so gonna get some ideas from him and will post. All are high Protein and 0 sugar, LOW CARBS!

Just another suggestion, Add 4 cubes of ice, blend for a minute and you've got a smoothie! Blend for 2 minutes with ice, then freeze, you have a great dessert!

I'd love to hear other recipes as well!

I don't like Water in my shakes, except for Syntrax Nectars.< /p>

Usually I make my shakes with low calorie/unsweetened soy or almond milk (gives the shake a richer taste). My two favourite shakes at the moment are:

a - 1-2c. almond and/or soy milk, 1/2 banana (optional), 1 scoop Syntrax chocolate powder, 2 tbsp PB2 Peanut Butter powder, 1 tbsp chia seed powder.

b - 1-2c. almond and/or soy milk, 1/2 cup frozen berries, 1 scoop Syntrax vanilla powder, 1 tbsp chia seed powder. To make it really thick, like a milkshake, I'll use a small block of fresh tofu.

@sleevinpops: I love the idea of using SF jello/pudding powder to add variety to the shakes, but they're not an option for me in Japan (nor anything even remotely resembling Fairlife). However, I hope to pick up at least a few boxes of a variety of flavours when I'm in the States next week.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
