Hi. I was sleeved the same day as you. I am very week. I also had my lap band and port removed the same day so I am very sore. I'm tired of tv especially the food commercials. I'm so afraid of drinking too much or not enough. I wish a bariatric nurse could come home with us. I am probably getting about 40 grams of Protein in from Isopure drinks. I am hoping that once we start puréed we will feel stronger. Take care.

Fatigue was a real issue for me for about 2 months post-op. I found that making myself get up and go walking really did help. Now, at 3 months post-op, it isn't an issue for me any more. It will get better. Please make sure you are meeting your Water goals, even if you have to sip constantly all day. (That will probably make you feel better as well.) Water and Protein consumption really is a full-time job early on.

Good luck!

From what I know, you are still healing and can only increase your intake very slowly. You are probably burning right through the small amount of calories you take in. It will take some time for this part of the process but, I promise you, it will get better and you will be able to eat more and have tons of energy! Everyone heals differently, so be patient (if you can...if know it's hard)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
