I hate a lot of you. I really do.

So many of you lost weight and now you are stunning and beautiful and well....many of you were beautiful before too so I guess I would have hated you when you were fat too. :heh:

My point is that even if (and when) I lose weight, I'm still going to have an ugly face and that TICKS ME OFF!!!! I want to be pretty for once in my life, dammit!!!!! :tired

Does anyone else out there feel the way I do? I know I'll be healthier and better able to move and blah, blah, blah but geez...it sure would be nice to look in the mirror and be happy when all of this is over.

(Disclaimer: I don't actually hate any of you for being pretty. All of my best friends are super model pretty. Life's a bitch, isn't it?) :biggrin1:

Gibson -I understand, I really do. I have not posted any pics yet because I just really hate having my picture taken. I don't like my nose and now I'm starting to age :0( The issues I had with my image when I was thin are all still there waiting for me when I get there again. I do know that I am going to get a tummy tuck and a boob lift when this is over. As much as I would like to adjust my nose I think my DH would object quite loudly. We will all have to learn to love ourselves at some point!

Jack - that song is stuck in my head!!!!

I don't know, I think most people are pretty critical of themselves. Others don't us nearly the way we see ourselves.

Honestly, I tend to doubt you are as you say. :car: Oh, I believe that YOU believe that, but I'm not entirely sure you are accurate.

Jack, Now I have this mental image of the Simpsonite in your avatar stripping to that song. My imagination is so warped! LOL

wombat, I know what you mean. I've never been thin at all though so I'm sure I'll get all kinds of strange surprises with my body when it starts changing.

WAS, I definitely believe it. Don't worry though, when I'm banded and start losing weight I'm going to post before and after pictures here no matter how scary ugly I am! LOL I'll be the happiest ugly woman in the world. =)

OK, if you have the surgery or have had it, why stop there? If there is something you don't like fix it! I sure as he@@ am! I want to have a few decades in my life as feeling like a million bux with confidence!

Don't hate me because I'm beautiful!

Really, I'm average and I'm sure you're average...most people are. And don't knock the blah, blah, blah of feeling better and moving more comfortably in your body. That gives you confidence and that is sexy.

I have always been large, I wonder , and I am a little afraid of what I will be like when I'm thin. I know I am a nice person and my husband will love me, but will I turn into one of those tv bitches?

I THINK JACK SUMMED IT UP AND VERY WITTY HE WAS TOO LOL!

I,M SURE YOU ARE JUST FINE AND IT,S TRUE NO ONE EVER SEES US AS NEGATIVELY AS WE DO OURSELVES. BUT IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE SOMETHING ABOUT YOURSELF THEN DO IT! I HAD MY NOSE FIXED TWO YEARS AGO AND IT WAS THE BEST THING I EVER DID TILL NOW THAT IS! WHEN I GET TO GOAL I PLAN TO HAVE A TUMMY TUCK AND BOOB JOB IT,S ALL ABOUT DOING WHAT YOU FEEL IS RIGHT FOR YOU. BUT YOU MAY FIND ONCE YOU LOSE WEIGHT YOU FEEL SO SEXY AND CONFIDENT YOU DON,T NEED ANY MORE WORK DONE.

GOOD LUCK ON YOUR JOURNEY:kiss2:

I agree with WBB...we're far harder on ourselves than others. I know I've never really felt very pretty...I always do my best to look my best, but always felt average at best. But, from what I've been told, I'm quite the cutie....go figure....it's hard for me to swallow. In fact, early in my marriage, DH got angry at me because every time he told me "You're so pretty..." I'd say "no I'm not" and he finally lit into me and told me off...so, I finally started to just say "thank you" and "I'm sure glad you feel that way".

As the weight comes off, I feel more and more confient and you will too!! :)

Why is it so hard for us to take compliments?!

I had a friend say, "You're pretty."

I replied,"Not really."

She said, "The right thing to say is 'Thank You'."

I said sheepishly, like a scolded child, "Thank You."

She smiled and said, "Now, was that so hard?!"

Lesson learned! I do that all the time now with others.

When I look at someone I think is pretty, and I look at me, there's not a lot in common. :) I've lost around 150 lbs and I still don't think I'm pretty, but I do think I'm more normal. Honestly, for a while, when I would see myself... my reflection... I would think... $%#^ I don't even look human. Now I think I look like a fat human. :)

Hi there are always ways to make ourselves look and feel more attractive try a new hair cut, some new make up, buy some new clothes but remember beauty is in the eye of the beholder...I know I am average looking but due to a husband who always puts me down I now feel horrible about myself, but with every pound I loose he is getting closer and closer to the curb and I am feeling better about myself, the end for him is near and a new future for myself is not far away!!!!!!!!!!

now feel horrible about myself, but with every pound I loose he is getting closer and closer to the curb and I am feeling better about myself, the end for him is near and a new future for myself is not far away!!!!!!!!!!

If he constantly puts you down and you're "closer and closer" to getting rid of him, why is he there now? It sounds as though you believe that a pound lost earns you that much more freedom from him.

Haven't ya noticed that people you do not know are either pretty or not so pretty. But people you know are pretty based on WHO they are? Soem seemingly unattractive individuals become down right striking when their personality is matched to their face. Some get real ugly once they open their mouths. I bet you fall far closer to striking than the other end of the spectrum.
