Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris

Hi

I have decided to get the procedure done - just have to save up for it. I live in uk and want to go to Brussels as it seems cheapest and safest there. Anyone know of the above?

Thanks

Hi again - less than 4 weeks now till my op and I'm following the chat very closely. If you have a fill and it's too much and you need some fluid removed, where do you go? I guess you can't always wait till Dr Chris and Frederik are in UK?

dont worry pink he has dr and nurses around each place he goes to for emergency de fill's,you just phone julie to get the address or pone number what date you going pink

:)

Most bupa/spire hospitals can do it, as can weight loss surgery group, in absolute emergencies your A&E department will use the emergency telephone number given to you by Dr Chris, and he has been know to talk another doctor through the proceedure. There used to be a clinic every weekend in London (not sure if its still open) to get emergency defills so that you dont need to wait a full month. The best thing is to drink at least 2 cups of water after each fill to make sure you can at least drink fluids.

I had'nt heard previously that Dr Chris has doctors and nurses in arears around the uk to do emergency defills.

10 September. This site is becoming a bit of an obsession for me lol.

I paid my deposit the other day and emailed Frederick with the details etc. I have not heard back - is this usual for him?

Anyone else doing 21st September? Am I going to be alone?

Hi Kerry

I found that the less you eat, the less likely you are to lose weight. I was afraid to eat and it took me 4 weeks to lose 4 lb. The last week, however, I have eaten alot more and managed to lose 4lb in a week.

I didn't go for my 3rd fill, and I am glad that I didn't. I have 5ml in and have enough restriction. I had found it hard to eat and I think that was the main problem in not losing the weight. Only time will tell. I am off on hols in september, so wont even be able to get another fill untill November.

On a positive note, since 10th May I have lost 44lb and 28 inches overall. I couldn't believe it when I measured myself. Trouble is most of it has gone off my bottom half and not alot off my top.

Dont let it get you down.

hi, I am so glad that i am back home!! had the worst time of my life. I was banded on 13th Aug, I was surprise as i did not feel much pain after the surgery, on Saturday when they took the drain it was very painful i couldn't walk at all,i had to be wheeled down to the x ray and was unable to walk due to the pain near my belly button it wasn't really my port ! I was then discharged by Dr Chris, went to the hotel by 2pm then Frederick came to see me around 7pm. from 11 pm i started vomiting but my stomach was empty it was so bad had to call a taxi and back to the hospital, i was readmitted they told me i had a bad reaction from the band. i couldn't sleep all night it was terrible i thought i was going to die. Dr Chris has already gone on holiday since Saturday but he did called to see how i was doing.

well i made it home thanks to my husband he looked after me just like i was a child.

i still have lots of pain on my port side, but i'm feeling better today.
