Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris

Recommended Posts

Hi Aminaqc

Just to let you know that booking through Tulia Law is not a scam. The people I shared a room with at the hospital booked through this lady and had to send the money upfront.

However, I would book direct with Dr Chris himself as it is cheaper. They do a package for 4000 Euros which includes Op, hotel and taxis. You will save a lot of money by booking direct with Dr Chris or his assistant Frederick.

Feel free to ask any questions.

CAN ANYONE OFFER ADVICE?

I have just booked flights for the end of october for my first fill (thought i'd combine it with a break with hubby!). This time i have booked flights to Charleroi airport (brussels south). i know there is a shuttle bus to brussels city centre. but that is quite far from Dr de Bruynes offices! i would prefer to stay central this time for sight seeing! just wondering though if any of you know of a hotel near vilvoorde that offers a shuttle bus into the city centre? not keen on trains! have a bit of a phobia!

Hi Chrissy4,

I was banded nearly 6 weeks ago by Dr De Bruyne, and am having my first fill this week . Like you I was very nervous, and only found this web-site the day before I left for Belgium. I would suggest reading as much as you can on this web-site, as you will find the answer to practically all your questions, as someone, somewhere has been through it all before, and everyone is very friendly, and willing to help!

Regards, Kath.

Thanks for the reply mooster, I have spent weeks looking thro websites, forums and now i have found this valuable forum and picking up lots of tips about before, during and after. How are you doing now 6 weeks after? Well done for going for it.

And Van, I also thought it was all a bit strange, but if you read the pre-posts it will put your mind at ease as they have mine.

I have booked up with Tullia Law and am going for banding on the 10th October with Dr Chris.

Very nervous, been having a great time reading through the posts and I can't wait to try and get a ticker working to see how it's all going.

Love the idea of the little book with things I need to get ready and prepare for so will be going back over all the posts and taking notes!!!

Hi All

Am wondering if anyone can tell me what sort of time you can go home a couple of days after the op, I know I have my op on a Friday and stay in until Saturday, then they recommend I stay until Sunday but didn't know if you have to go into the hospital on the Sunday or if I can go home after checking out of hotel (11am).

Also as I am bring a friend with me can they stay with you most of the time? I know obviously not when in theatre or recovery but after that?

Any help is most appricated.

Hi Clarygrundy

You can go home at any time on the Sunday. You dont have to go back to the hospital.

I had a friend come with me too. She stayed with me until I went down to theatre and then came back in my room after Id come out of recovery. She then stayed until early evening. The nurses were okay with her being there. There is a restaurant on the fourth floor where your companion can get something to eat. The food isnt too bad apparently and its very reasonably priced (a lot cheaper than eating at the hotel).

Hi Can you go home the next day, as surely if you are discharged from the hospital you would be better off at home.

Why stay another night if you don't have to?

Hi I know that they recommend one day stay over after op due to anethstetic it can take it 48 hours towork out of system.

English Rose - Thanks for the info so far, but also had another question, did you see your GP here after the op? Wondered about the injections afterwards.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
