Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the sound advice TIN. Looking forward to treats seem like a good way of helping stick to a sensible eating plan. In the past I've found that totally depriving myself of any goodies the only way to handle a diet but I realise now that I must change my eating habits completely. I've got so many bad habits to "break"! I find I am slipping back to past habits and have put food in my mouth without realising what I've done. I'm getting some dodgy looks from the other chefs when they see me spitting food out into the bin because it's dawned on me that I've eaten it  I WILL break these habits!!!

I love your marathon analogy and will think of that until I get restriction and try and not be too harsh on myself (yesterday was a despise myself day and I was disgusted at what I ate over the weekend, was doubtful as to whether I had even been fitted with a band) Prior to the band I would have said oh sod it and given up my diet but now thank heavens that isn't gonna happen. I know it's a long road but I've no doubt at all that we'll all get there together in the end.

Mooster, I find Cadburys Options have a more intense flavour and if you close your eyes and savour that taste you can just about convince yourself your enjoying an lovely melt in your bar of choccie. The mint, orange, toffee, belgian chocolate and ooooh the turkish delight are gorgeous left to cool a bit and you don't get that yucky sludge in the bottom of your mug as with some. OMG I'm making myself hungry:laugh:

OMG !!!!!!!! Can you guys can talk..........I've not been around for a few days and have just spent 40mins catchin up on all the news !!!!!!

Gary....Good luck for Thursday, hope all goes well.

Gillian... Good to hear you too were on Zenical and opted for the band. I'm feeling really confident I've made the right decision.

Big Sis....I am really tryin with the fluids but I've put a bottle of Water on my desk and its still half full by the end of the day. Its been there now for 5 days and I've not been tempted to re-fill it !!! I've got my staff to give me a kick every hour to make me drink, hope I can change my behaviour before my band ?

Flirty...Well done you on your success and the recent TT. Hope the healing process is quick for you !

Mandy.... Come back soon, I'm new too...dont take it personally.

I love reading about your day to day troubles and challenges. My Op isnt until 2nd Oct, feels like ages away. I hope to still be around to tell you my stories and get help from you all. Thanks to a great forum.

Some of you may want to stop reading now..............but I already have bowel problems, where I only go every 2-3 days (and its not comfortable i can tell you !) I know its because I dont drink enough fluids, (which I am tryin to change) but it is worrying me that the band is causing some of you Constipation ?? Is there any hope for me ??

I was once on the Cambridge diet, OMG ! that was awful. Any advice to keep the bowels going once I've had the band fitted or maybe for right now to get it going again ???

For anyone trying to get hold of Fred, I know he's in the South of France on holiday at the moment. I sent him an email to get confirmation that my flight times were ok and the sweetie phoned me from the SOF. He sounded lovely and I'm looking forward to Brussels...I'm ready for my band now !!

I left a message with WLS also today and I am waiting for them to get back to me tomorrow, to buy 6months of fills up front. I know I wont need my first until November but I took all your advice with the special July offer and hope to purchase this tomorrow.

Thanks Guys

Thanks Beeboo. Never tried 'Califigs' before, but will get some and try it out before my bands fitted. Tried the choc lax before but found it very mild and not very effective ?

Do any of you try juicers or blending veggies etc to get some fibre inside of you, or is orange juice just as good ? I've just started drinking OJ to help my Constipation but have always stayed away from it in the past because I considered it as 'empty' calories !

Roll on October 2nd

Cheers,

Sx

Cheers,

I to think OJ empty calories so before being banded used to eat dried pitted prunes only 2 a day and they do eventually work. Post banded I now take weetabix as I find anything else I eat does not have enough fibre in it. Beleive me I was the queen of constipation used to faint with pain and one time hadn't been for 14 days. 2nd of October here in no time. My sister may be going Sept. or October will find out in a few days:thumbup: Jx

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
