February Surgery! Any buddies?

  • Popular Post

I finally have a date! I feel like I'm being swept off my feet. I keep hearing the date over and over in my ears. I cant believe a year ago, I didn't even know there was such a cure, and here I am about to start living the healthy life I deserve. Its becoming real and I absolutely can not wait. I only know a few people who have gone through this, but I would welcome any comments or support!

I have a six hour class on the 19th, then on the 30th I do all my tests.

I'm so excited!

Hi Everyone. My original date was 12/6/16. I went into the hospital, went through all of pre-op and when I woke up, my surgeon was standing there with a picture of my insides telling me that they couldn't perform the RNY that they had to repair my hernia (that no one knew about). I am trying to look on the bright side and at least I know exactly what to expect with regard to pre-op, and some of the recovery... (I'm still pretty mad.)

My new date is 2/7/17. I am so looking forward to having this behind me!!! Luckily, my boss is extremely supportive and is ok with me take another leave in February.

I'm looking forward to walking this path with all of you.

I was 2/1 but they had an OR conflict so they changed it to the 6th but then I decided that I wanted RNY instead of the Sleeve so now they are hoping I will not need another surgery date change. I am so excited!!!! I can't wait!!!

Just curious how much is the Bypass vs the Sleeve? I'm asking because they are changing my request from the Sleeve to the Bypass. The insurance company covers both but it just needs to be approved.
