    Hurricane Irma

Try not to let the emotions get the best of you. I am in Colorado, flying home to Orlando tomorrow with nothing left in the stores to stick up on. I'm praying the track moves more easterly out to the Atlantic as it moves up Florida Sent from my SM-G920V using BariatricPal mobile app

    No go with Dr Illan

I am sorry you had the issues with Dr. Illan's team. Were you reaching out theough BariatricPal and Bill Yanez? My communication was fast, as well as acceptance and booking. Anyhow, good luck! Sent from my SM-G920V using BariatricPal mobile app

    No go with Dr Illan

As a patient of Dr. Illan, I'm very glad I went to him. I had other 1st had experience from a couple coworkers. Obviously, you can go to whomever you want. My concern was having the best doctor and hospital care. All the valets were super helpful, staff all spoke English and I had better care than in the good ol' USA. I have no regrets! Epic stall :(

Ok. I am frustrated and need to vent. I dropped 65 lbs in 3 months. But the last month has been zilch! I'm even walking 4- 10mi /day and half of my walks are with a 30lbs pack on my back. In the evenings, I go to the gym for 45min to work arms or legs with weights. What's up body??? How do I kick this stall. I tried 2 days of carbs, 3 days of liquid protien...still...nothing! I log my food and water. It's all about 1000cal/day. I get about 120g protein and 50 or less of carbs. Ok. I feel better... I just needed to vent. Sent from my SM-G920V using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. Just an FYI that Bill is on vacation but has been responding to some questions on fb. So, not sure how long you've been trying to reach him, but I would expect a slow response while he and his wife are on vacation. Sent from my SM-G920V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Pain?

I had surgery on MX with Dr. Illan. I had ZERO pain. The nurses were in every hour giving me something. After leaving the hospital, I never used a pain medicine, even though they gave me ketorolac. Sent from my SM-G920V using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. So, at my heaviest, I didn't have issues stuffing my belly into my jeans, but as i lose weight, I seem to have issues with it flopping around. I have jeans that fit but its like i have to stuff the skin into the right spots. Am I alone in this? The jean zip up fine and I dont overflow the top, but its a sruggle to put the fat/skin into the jeans. Sent from my SM-G920V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Shrinking without losing pounds

I am doing that right now. It's frustrating. But I am in process of transitioning from an 18 to 16...but the numbers on the scale haven't moved in almost 2 months. Sent from my SM-G920V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Epic stall :(

I included what my friend refers too as "bro science" and end my shower ice cold. It's supposed to wake up your cells...but it worked. I broke my 5 week stall! Sent from my SM-G920V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Best Plastic Surgeons in Mexico?

I am just starting to research. I would like to get arms, breast and neck done before my vacation to Hawaii. I started researching and am leaning towards Dr Camacho-Melo and Dr. Cardenas. Has BariatricPal formed any relationships with either of these Dr's?

    Dr Carmina Cardenas, Mexico

Did you have to go there for an initial consult? What hospital were you at? How long were you there? Were you at a recovery house? Sent from my SM-G920V using BariatricPal mobile app

Thank you. I also checked this morning. While in my stall my body fat has dropped .5% even though the scale isn't moving Sent from my SM-G920V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Epic stall :(

I'll give it a go, but it scares me as if on a slippery slope to add more food to my day. Sent from my SM-G920V using BariatricPal mobile app
  19. So, today I noticed that the bottom of my "apron " is deflating. This is a good thing. I am 4 months post op but have been in a stall for 2 weeks. Suddenly, I noticed the panniculus getting pruney or wrinkly at the bottom. This is not how I thought it would go. I figured my waist would get smaller and eventually the panniculus would deflate in general. It's kinda exciting to watch. It means something good is happening. Falling into old bad habits?

You recognise the issue, now focus on correcting. You can't always be perfect. Start logging the foods and measuring again. As my WW coach once said....if you trip down a step, do you catch yourself or throw yourself down the rest of the flight? If you have 1 bad meal in a day, don't throw it away. Get back on the wagon! Good luck! Sent from my SM-G920V using BariatricPal mobile app
  24. Managed an 8+ mi hike with my 30lbs pack on Sun. The Mon and Tues were 4+ mi with pack. I question how my legs were able to carry me before when I was 65 lbs heavier Sent from my SM-G920V using BariatricPal mobile app
  25. I was sleeved Feb 7, 2017. In efforts to capitalize as much as I can in the 1st year, I started really working out. I walk 5-10mi/day. My speed was 23min/no. Now it's 17min/no. In efforts to keep the muscles I had carrying around the old weight, I started to carry a frame pack with 25lbs of kitty litter. What are you all doing to get the weight off? Only monitoring the food? Did you pick up new hobbies? Sent from my SM-G920V using BariatricPal mobile app
