12/29/16 - almost to day three post-op!

Recommended Posts

Hello December sleevers! I got home from the hospital yesterday after spending the night in. It wasn't so bad. I actually got some sleep in between the nurses coming in for their routine maintenance and stuff. I sure as heck miss the pain ball they had attached to by stomach with a pump I could push a button to add more every ten minutes.

Some one please tell me at which point this pain might subside though. Previously, I saw Vicodin as a powerful painkiller but it hasn't been very affective for me since I got home. Just put me to sleep for a few hrs but the pain is still there. :S

My pain was no existent, I was sore from the incision where my stomach was removed and never took pain meds when I got hone. GAS was my issue bur gas ex and walking around took care of that. Sleeved on the 12th just can't eat ... everything makes me I'll now. I'm even throwing up milk. Just listen to your body rest walk and DRINK. Congrats

@@sasharbinx you were sleeved 12/29? Me too.

I had pain when I first woke up but only other pain I've had since has been gas. The gas x strips and walking around the house has helped. Also try getting someone to massage your back and/or knead on your belly.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
