Surgery 12/30th second thoughts?

Recommended Posts

Can anyone tell me why prior to surgery I was so adamant on trying to get approved for surgery. Now that my surgery is less than 4 days away..

I am so nervous :(

I'm questioning everything now. It does not help either when you have people in your ear telling you, you need to think about what you're doing, or telling you NOT to do it!!! All these emotions..these negative people around me.

How do i retrain my thoughts? Tell the negative Nancy's to stop....????

Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks everyone.

Your going through the same every one of us that has had surgery went through, it's all normal to feel as you do

I even felt like jumping off the bed as they were giving me my general anaesthetic lol I'm so glad I didn't it's the best thing I've ever done , and you'll feel the same as time goes by

Your going to feel wonderful as the weight drops off

Hang in there good luck xo

That's been my motto since I decided to take the plunge and get a healthier me! Not dealing with Negative Nancy's or Negative Norman's.......they're just haters of the worst kind. I've seen and heard the reactions from various family members regarding other members having the surgery and I'm not built for jail-which is where I'd end up after beating the brakes off of one of them for not minding their own business (although I could make a very convincing case for a 302 placement! Lol).

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
