So had my one month post op and I'm down 27 pds! Stitches have healed nicely and I no longer feel as tired as I did at the beginning. In phase 3 of my diet, so now I can do soft foods finally! The challenges I've been experiencing have been Constipation and making sure I'm hitting my Water goals. I'm in the middle of househunting too so things have been a bit crazed. So crazed that I have had to remind myself to eat, something that was never an issue before. All in all, happy to see the progress...tough getting sleeved during the holidays (11/21/16) but it was worth it!

In what world is 28 pounds in a month considered slow? Unless you weigh like 600 pounds to start, that is very fast weight loss.

Yesterday 12/21 was my one month anniversary.

I'm down 35 pounds since the surgery weigh in.

Had no issues at all, no real pain and no problems outside of having to "understand" my stomach and what it can and can't do.

I'm in Stage 4 (for me that's solid food, ground turkey, etc.)

Eating slower, chewing more -- eating far less in portions has been the only challenge.

I haven't started exercising as of yet based on being on a blood thinner.

But today Is my last needle (yes, I've had to administer two needles daily) and I will start my exercise plan post X-Mas.

So far I can say this is the best decision I've made for my health and well being of my life.

I look forward to seeing more weight come off and be much more active.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
