Feeling discouraged

Recommended Posts

That sounds like gas. Try this, while laying in bed roll from your left side to your back, wait about 30 seconds and roll to your right side and stay there for 30 seconds. Keep rotating every 30 seconds or so. I got rid of gas really quickly when I discovered this method.

I just had mine Friday too. Walk, walk, walk, and when you get tired wait a little and walk some more. I have been walking about once an hour and now that it is bedtime, once every 2 hours. I have very little pain now verses early (was almost in tears).

Mine hurt terribly on the left side, this is the area the stomach that was cut away was removed through, even after nearly 4 weeks I still have small bruising around the site. Don't worry each day is a learning day and it does get better. God Bless and I pray for a speedy recovery for you.

God Bless and keep you. I'm about 5 weeks out and pain is no longer an issue. If your docs gave you post op pain relievers use them, in these early days, it helps with the walking and moving. Tylenol or smething like that also helped me when I didn't want to use stronger pain meds. As with all advice may sure it's OK with your doctor.

Feel better soon!

I am new to this forum. Had my surgery on November 16th. Amazingly did not have any pain. Was discharged home next day and go back to work this Monday. My two week post-op diet ending Wednesday, but I am so busy at the office that I am not sure how I will be able to manage drinking every time.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
