Hands and Feet are itching like crazy.

Recommended Posts

I am 3 weeks POST-SLEEVE

Symptoms: my hands and feet itch like crazy to the point of it hurts to walk.

Has anyone else had this happen?

The itching began 2 days ago. I haven't been on any pain medication for two weeks and at the moment I'm only taking chewable, and liquid Vitamins and B-12 shot.

My suspicion would be something in the Vitamins that you're allergic to, or contact dermatitis.

I suffered badly from contact dermatitis when I was young, my hands would get red and so damned itchy. Then they would dry out completely and crack and bleed. I had several bouts of the itching on my feet.

My doctor's was never able to pinpoint exactly what was causing it, but prescribed some cream to calm the effects.

If it's an allergen, any cream that contains Benedryl should calm the itching down pretty quickly. There's also stereoidal hydrocortisone creams available OTC at the pharmacy that could help relief the symptoms, but not the cause.

Funny thing is that my armpits are itching like crazy. I didn't think that it might be an allergy.

Many of us had/have itchy arms, hands, stomachs and I don't think it is a Vitamin allergy. Mine was mostly my entire arm. My NUT had no answers other than use Vitamin e cream. I'm 14 weeks out and still have bouts of itchiness.

I doubt it would be allergy to the Vitamins themselves, but different preparations of vitamins are full of fillers, some with sugars/sweeteners/sugar alcohols, etc.

It could be that you are detoxing from sugar and processed foods. Sugar feeds yeast in our gut and when it is no longer being fed, the yeast dies off. Your feet and hands have more pores than the rest of your skin. When your body is expelling toxins, it can cause severe itching. It can go away for awhile and then come back the longer you stay away from the toxic culprits. Look up yeast detox.

I wonder if you are not processing the B12 or have burned through your shot already. Itching hands and feet are a sign of being low on b12. Call your doctor.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
