I deleted about 30 posts from this topic. If you have nothing positive to add to a topic, please stay out of it. There's never a need for name calling. This is a support site, not a hate group. If I deleted a post, please consider yourself warned. I will not tolerate bullying in any shape or form. It's ok to offer some "tough love" but don't be rude and disrespectful to other members. I've really had enough of this behavior.

I'm not posting again. Whether that be good or bad. It's not worth it. Theirs a lot of good people on this site, but a bunch of crazies too! Let's just lose some weight!

Please keep posting. We are learning together. Ignore the negative ???? ones. I got a little laugh. You were sharing a oops moment with some self talk.

When I eat something my tummy doesn't like, one of three things happen:

I vomit.

I dump.

I am extremely uncomfortable for a few hours.

What my stomach doesn't like changes from day to day, even at 3.5 years out, so my rule is always to eat slow, chew well, and eat really small meals 5 or 6 times a day.

This and the original post has been the best lessons I've read. Thanks for your guidance.

HAPPY LOSING, NWA

I was just sleeved on the 7th in Mexico. I have not had any problems swallowing. I've been drinking plenty of fluids. Protein shakes, broth, Water,Propel, etc. why did I just try to eat a 1/2 of a grilled cheese sandwich? It went down great but then I heard my stomach say, "Why did you just do that? I specifically told you that you were done eating that type of stuff but you still want to disrespect me. Let me show you how I treat people that is disrespectful to me". All of a sudden, there was a pain that I have never felt before, and it lasted long time too! Bottom line, I'm gonna respect you from now on!!!!!! It won't happen again!!!!!!!

Hell sometimes we have to just experiment. I'm glad that you are okay now.

My sleeve is like,"Im only gonna warn you once and then it's on., b*tch"

And then when I am heaving over the toilet, I can just hear her saying, "I told you. Didn't I tell you? Don't try me."

Lesson learned, right? Don't try your sleeve... it's the new boss!

An accountability partner lol

Thanks for posting honestly, Anthony. I hope it helps to know that I learned from it. And I totally get the urge to eat stuff I used to. I was having such a hard time yesterday with wanting popcorn at the movies! Best to you!

Omg! He is telling HIS experience, why ppl is so judgmental?! He said it was a mistake. For me it's great ppl not only talk about their success n how great they are doing but also the pitfalls. We all make mistakes. Hey Anthony, I'm glad you are fine, thanks for sharing. I experienced something similar... I was 3 weeks post op n I really wanted to eat something, I mashed an avocado n as soon as it got down, I had this horrendous pain, salivation, dizziness, a horrible pressure in the chest n I almost fainted. The good thing is that my doc told me what would happen if I didn't follow the plan so I knew what was going on. Never again I did it. It was too painful for me.

Eek! My doctor told me that he once had a patient leave the HOSPITAL and head to McDonald's for a cheeseburger. Of course, the patient had to have emergency surgery.

Just be careful! I know how it feels to eat something and your stomach revolt! It only took once and mine was tuna. Lol - I haven't been a fan of tuna since.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
