Choosing a surgeon for Bariatric Surgery was a process for me and my husband. We wanted to be absolutely positive that he/she was not only brilliant and a great surgeon but also had an understanding of obesity and everything that comes with it. We wanted to be sure that the surgeon as trained, educated and had empathy for the morbidly obese while also understanding I would need him/her and their practice in my life to help me with this struggle. I was NOT looking for a one and done. Surgeon, Support and Education was my criteria for choosing a practice.

We found it all. It takes time to vet the surgeon and also find exactly who and where it have the surgery. We wanted the hospital to be a Center of Excellence in Bariatrics'.

Lindsey S. Sharp MD and his practice (REX Bariatric Surgeons) fit my criteria and have exceeded my expectations in all aspects almost 5 years later. Dr. Sharp and his practice have provided me with a great tool, great support and education to keep myself focused and successful.

Rex is the best!!!! I am 6 days post op and I feel like this team has supported me every step of the way! I chose Dr Bermudez to do my surgery and I could not be more pleased with how I am doing so far. I know this Dr and support team will be with me through my full recovery and beyond.

I am seeing Dr. Sharpe myself. Its been a LONG time in making my decision, but I am finally in the short rows in getting to the actual surgery. I've been so impressed with Rex!

I had DS with dr Sharp on 4/1. The clinic and everything that goes along with it are fantastic. Great support & information before surgery & now I've had great support after. Awesome group.

I wish that I could say the same. I did not even get as far as the consult. I had messaged them and called and I guess I fell between the cracks because they were not very responsive to me. I wondered if it was because I am self-pay. It was a poor first impression and because of that I did not choose them. I am still pre-op.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
