Pain at incision site

Recommended Posts

I am 4 weeks post-op from sleeve and on Thursday started having extreme pain at main incision site. If I bend in that direction pain is so bad brings tears. Doesn't feel like the gas I had prior. Can't sleep, can't get comfortable. Pain when I go to sit down or get up. Going to Dr tomorrow for follow up but has anyone else experienced this? Can't even bend over to put on shoes.

I have...my dr said that it's normal to have a discomfort...not extreme pain tho...it the area they pulled out ur stomach that's why the incision is bigger then the rest. Good luck at the dr hoping all is well. Vsg 10/13

So went to Dr wants me to get Ct Scan to rule out hernia or hematoma. It's scheduled for tomorrow. Gave me some pain meds and off work for another week.

Good luck. Hope everything goes ok. I've been feeling more pain in thar area too. And feeling really sore like i did a bunch of crunches. I hate to admit it but i haven't done any of those in years. Not since i got a bad cramp from trying to do them lol. But this is almost worrying me because i was fine and then i woke up in pain. Like..wth?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
