  1. I think you have a legitimate concern. I am 50 years old. My starting weight was 248. I am now 170. I could go down to 160, but due to my age my face is very thin, and your right...I started to look older. I am happy at 170 so that's where I'm stopping. Noel it's maintenance through healthy eating and exercise. Hope this helps Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App
  2. I also have not pooped in almost 2 weeks. Had surgery on October 5th. Seeing doctor on wednesday...going to ask a lot of questions. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App
  3. Hi everyone....I am also experiencing naseau. I'm on zofran. Sometimes it helps and other times it doesnt. I also have another problem. I have not gone to the bathroom #2 for almost 2 weeks. I don't have pain so I am just wondering if that's normal? Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App

  11. Thank you so much for helping me to see the reality. Your right...it was just a set back. Today I was able to eat an egg w/cheese for lunch and 2 ounces of chicken for supper. I'm feeling a little better and I'm glad you helped me to see that I made the right decision. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App
  12. I was doing fine up until I got a stomach bug last week. I'm almost 4 weeks out and it's been rough the last week. Naseaus, vomiting, constipation...you name it. today is the first day in a week I was able to eat anything. I had a poached egg with a little cheddar cheese. I wrote previously that I would not have had the surgery.???? but that's not true. I'm happy with my weight loss and my doctor said this is all normal. I may not like the way I've been feeling, but I know it will get better. As long as I do the best that I can everyday I know I'll be alright. It definitely helps reading all these posts. So thank you Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App
  13. I had similar pain and I'm also 4 weeks out. It took a few days, but it finally went away. Tell your doctor about it, but you should be fine Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App
  14. Ella37...I don't think it's irresponsible to share my experience. Just because ours isn't the same doesn't mean your advice is better. If you can't help me, don't hurt me. Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App
  15. That's true. I'm looking for support not condemnation Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App
  16. Hi...I just had surgery 0n 10/5. Everyone in my group that has had surgery is doing well, but I'm not. I've been sick, can't eat, feel naseaus all the time and the truth is....this is the HARDEST thing you'll ever do in your life. I prepared for 2 years as well, but nothing can prepare you for things that might happen. I like the weight loss, but if I weighed the pros and cons right now I wish I never had the surgery.???? I feel awful a lot of the time and I can't even take in Water without feeling sick. It sucks. I want to be able to eat/drink normally but I cant (although I never did eat normally) I know it hasn't been that long so I try to keep a positive attitude, but it's hard. I don't even care when people tell me how good I look. I'm taking it a day at a time, but it's ok if your not sure. If your happy with yourself at the weight you are now, I'd say don't do it. 18. Are you on a PPI or anti-nausea med? Have you tried broth or hot tea? Add unflavored Protein to broth. Dehydration will make you nauseous. Try to get in fluids now and hold off on food. Your hormones are playing a role in how you feel emotionally. Hang in there.Thank you for your feedback and support. I will try all of those things you suggested. I am desperate, and hopeful. 19. Hello everyone...I need help. I'm almost 4 weeks post op and for the first couple of weeks I did fine. Last week I got really sick with a stomach virus and since then everything has changed. I always have this horrible taste in my mouth, I can barely eat, I try to drink as much as I can...popsicles seem best sugar free of course, and everything tastes different. I was eating yogurt, pudding, chicken, eggs, and now I can't tolerate any of that stuff. It all tastes funny. I have talked to my surgeon, and he said it will get better, but I'm so depressed. I'm beginning to regret my decision. Has anyone come across this and can anyone give me some other choices to eat. Tomato Soup with melted cheese was one of my favorites, and now I hate it. I'm 24lbs down since October 5th, but it doesn't even matter because I'm so depressed. Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks Sent from my SCH-I545 using the BariatricPal App

  22. I agree, I don't even understand why you would be asking what you could eat. I am only 11 days out and still on full liquid, and I wouldn't go near applebees. Also you know what you can eat. You left the hospital with directions. You just want someone to cosign you eating things your not supposed to. Good luck staying true to this if you can't even make good choices now.
