I am still pre-op, so take from this what you will, but I would double check with your surgeon about having to wait after drinking to eat. I just saw my dietician and she said that I could drink up un

One thing that I have not seen anyone else mention... I had terrible nausea and also wondered "what have I done???". When the zofran and other anti-nausea meds didn't work, my doc ran some tests and

I am new to this site. I have been reading and reading it for days since my surgery and did many searches and have found it extremely helpful.
I was sleeved on 10/17/16. Everything went well. The only downside I see is that I was in a whole lot more pain than I thought I would be in. That severe pain has left me though. But now the past several days I am stuck with regret. I keep thinking what have I done to myself? At first I had a few brief periods of that thought and it was because I could only eat so little of Clear liquids or creamed Soups while my family ate things like pizza and tacos. Those thoughts passed quickly. But these last several days I can't shake it. These thoughts aren't because of food woes. The biggest thing is I have constant nausea. It's there if I don't eat, if I do eat, if I don't drink, and if I do drink. It never leaves! I called the doctor yesterday and he said it is normal since I am not far out of surgery and should pass as I am able to eat more. Well I can't eat because I have a huge fear of vomiting. I try to get Protein shakes in and they are gross. Everything sweet is gross. I have followed everything precisely and I have not "cheated" once. I don't feel like I am ever going to be normal again. I wish I could go back and not have this surgery. At this point all I do is drink Water and it makes me feel nauseous too but I am trying to stay hydrated. I get maybe one meal in a day sometimes two. I can't live like this. I just wanted to vent in a place where people might understand. Thank you for listening.
