KristinaDawn: That is so AWESOME! I'm so excited for you. I have to just spend the next week and 4 days twiddling my thumbs, tapping my toes, annoying my co-workers. Hehehe... Good luck with your surgery!! Let us all know how you're doing as soon as you can!

I have a splitting headache!!! My doctor said that I only had to drink clear liquids the day before surgery but I decided to start today. Now, because of no food, I have a really bad headache! Oh well, I am hoping when I wake up tomorrow it is gone. Surgery in less than two days!!!!

Oh, honey I'm so sorry!! I know you probably don't want to hear this because I, myself, wouldn't want to but keep drinking water. It will actually help to flush the headache out. See? You didn't want to hear that, did you. Sorry!! Also, if you are a coffee drinker, that's why the headache. Another "Duh!" but again, water, water, water will help. Plus, seriously, a TEASPOON of coffee or anything caffeinated will get rid of your headache. Did you know that just a teaspoon of caffeinated "something" is enough? I hope your headache gets better. Hang in there! It's all for the end result friend!!!! You can do it!!!!!!:whoo:

Hi Longhorn,

I am taking off work tomorrow to calm down before the big day on Thursday. I think I'll clean my house, wash my sheets, etc. I need to go over my list and see what's missing. I know there is a flexible ice pack on there that I don't have. Do you know what that's for?

I have to be at Journey Lite at 9:30 a.m. and surgery is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. I guess we'll leave the house about 8:00 a.m.

What about you, are you excited?? Nervous?

Sorry I didn't write sooner, I have been so busy at work trying to catch up so I could be gone a week. I am scheduled to go back to work on the 7th. I hope I'm feeling okay by then, I didn't tell many people about this surgery, they just think I'm on vacation.

Later,

Bobbi

I Am Getting The Band On Nov 5th....can't Wait!!!! I Am In Hawaii And Flying To Ca To Have The Surgery. So Many Emotions But Ready To Take Control Of My Weight Once And For All.

I feel the excitement in this room!!!!!!!!!!!

I am worried about a headache on the morning of surgery - no coffee!!!!!!!!!! I should have scheduled the surgery earlier, I could have but didn't want to get in early morning traffic.

I actually have had a stomach ache all day, I guess from nerves.

Sunshine,

I am originally from So Cal and I lived in Hilo for awhile.

Good luck to you!

Bobbi

It's nice to know so many are going through the same thing at the same time. This entire forum has given me so much information and peace. One more week for me!!:)

Hi, Bobbi:

I had my pre-op visit with my surgeon this morning. Everything is looking great. I was relieved to find out that I don't have to do any prep for cleaning out my innards. I was wondering how I was going to do that and still teach three classes! I'm supposed to get there at 6 a.m. for my 7 a.m. surgery. I could be going home between 11 and noon! :)

I stopped at the store today and got more broth, some SF Jello, SF popcycles, and a Pur water filter pitcher. I'd like to start drinking more water and less prepared drinks. I also got a couple of insulated containers, one for drinking hot broth and the other for cold drinks -- burnt orange, of course!

It will be hard to stay focused tomorrow but just one more day! Good luck!

I'm really getting excited!!!! I'll be getting banded on Thursday. I'm a last minute girl... I'll be getting all my post op supplies tomorrow. Had my pre op appt yesterday... it made it seem so real. All my friends have been calling me giving me support. Today was my hardest day on the liquid... I think its cuz I'm an emotional eater... so I just want to snack...chew... but I was not hungry. Its just nerves. But i feel great... I've lost 14 lbs on the pre-op phase..

My ride that was picking me up just bailed... that sucks...

all my friends are going on a girls trip to Portland OR.. that I choose to back out of so next trip for me will be just that more amazing....

TO ALL THAT ARE HAVING THERE SURGERY!!! GOOD LUCK & CONGRATS!!

Thanks to everyone! I am so glad to have so much support from friends, family and all of you here!

My headache is getting a little better. I ate a sugar free jello this morning and am now driking a protein water. I am going to GNC at lunch to buy the protein powder for my drinks. Have any of you bought any powder from GNC? Just wondering what is good and what isn't.

Oh and also........

HAPPY HALLOWEEN
