Hi, Try talking with your surgeon about Biotin injections. I am getting prepared for the sleeve revision surgery and I am concerned about hair loss, but the office offers couple different types of Vitamin injections you can due weekly or monthly etc depending on what the doc recommends;)

Never heard of Biotin injections....

Have they actually been proven beneficial? Been using the pills, 7

Mos out and while the loss has slowed, it is still there. Blessed to have had a ridiculous amount of hair preop so to others not noticeable. To me, however, it has been way more than I anticipated.

Only benefit? Takes 10 min to dry with a dryer versus the prior- preop 35-40 min.

I had never heard of them either prior to my new doc office. My Wellness coordinator said they are amazing she actually had the sleeve and has had the Vitamin shots and the Biotin shot she says they work great so I'm thinking heck it's worth a try!!! I was told if the doctor prescribes them to you then the insurance should cover them if not they're about $200 per shot that's at my doctor's office. I'll take a picture and post it so you can read about it.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
