Honeymoon phase of not being hungry

Recommended Posts

Still not hungry at almost 15 months.

The honeymoon period however is over.

Not being hungry is cool, but I can eat a lot more relatively compared to first after surgery and eating had very little chance of causing pain anymore so I have lost some of my food aversion. I have to be mindful of my portions especially when I am eating out and haven't weighed my food, because I have more capacity.

Isn't it great??

I'm very rarely physically hungry at 2+ years out. Usually if I'm working out like a mad woman or have gone too long without eating is when I can honestly say I feel hunger. Otherwise I try to eat on a schedule whether I'm hungry or not just to keep satiated and not get to that hangry point and make bad decisions. A bit hungrier than I used to be, but nothing like before surgery!

I eat on schedule----each day-----every day------365days/year.

I'm jealous! Hunger came back 6 months post op, have to eat every 4 hours. My capacity has also increased, so I am still measuring 1/2 cup per meal.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
