I feel like a loser

I cheated on my liquid diet . I feel so bad for doing it and now I'm scared that they may not do my surgery. Has anybody else had this problem?

What did you eat? How much? When is your surgery? Can you follow your plan from here on out?

I ate a taco and drank Water. My surgery is the 22 and yes I am being very good now. This has me scared to death

I was very bad before my surgery I didn't follow the diet at all because they pushed my surgery up and I had a vacation planned. I was fine, surgery went fine, and now the post surgery weight loss is fine. You'll be okay. My surgeon told me that it's the day before surgery that matters the most.

They make you go on that diet so you can lose some weight and shrink your liver before the surgery. However, you are supposed to strictly follow that duet 24 hours prior to surgery so there isn't food particles in your stomach while they are performing the surgery.

Your not a loser! I've had massive trouble sticking to my diet. Today I've also been feeling low.

Good luck xx

Many people have done the same thing. The guilt feeling is good, that means you understand the gravity of the food decisions you are making. Granted this could have had more instantaneous repercussions like your surgery getting cancelled. But I doubt that will happen if you stick to it from now until your surgery and get your liver to shrink enough.

Keep these feelings that you are having about this slip up in mind as you move forward in this journey. There are going to be bumps in the road we just have to do everything we can to clean up our eating. Take some time to contemplate why you went ahead and had a taco even though you knew what you needed to do. A little soul searching goes a long ways. Chin up, make a plan, and hammer through it, you'll do great!
