Before/After Pics RNY 14 Months Out

Oh goodness. I'm not having an issue reconciling the loss by still feeling heavy, but I {think} I understand?

You have been a wonderful cheerleader here for so many of us.

Allow us to return the favor!!!!

No where will you find as much acceptance for what you were "before" or where you are "after".

Consider us your "baby steps".

Well done dear- well done!!!!!!

Thank you, that really touched my heart deeply.

What you said also illustrates exactly how I feel towards the WLS community myself. I've always been the only fat person in my family and I've tried many times to explain to them about how it negatively affects every quadrant of your life, physically, emotionally, mentally, etc. The closest I've ever gotten to making them understand is by saying: These are my people. They're the ones I never even knew were missing until I found them again. It was like finally, there were all these people who are just like me.

I never would have gotten through the process without the forums here and the wonderful people (sisters, brothers) I've met along the way. And I definitely count you among them too!

Thank you again!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
