Getting started with the journey!

Recommended Posts

I started my 10 day liquid only diet yesterday. I did get hungry but nothing I couldn't handle. My sweet supportive wife has cleared out the refrigerator and cabinets to ease the temptations. At my age, this is my effort to improve my quality of life for whatever time I left on this earth. God willing, I'll be successful. My wife took a couple of starting day pics as a reminder to me of my obese self!post-299077-14731687440515_thumb.jpg post-299077-14731687623177_thumb.jpg

Good luck! This has fully changed my husband's life and health. Also I had the sleeve with him. Three years out and loving it!

Good luck Sir. I was very nervous, but very happy I made the decision. My surgery was Aug 1. I'm down 38lbs (365 to 327). You will do great!

Thanks Ganic. Looks like you were about the same size as me when you started. Hopefully I'll be as successful as you soon! Good luck with the remainder of your losses.

Good luck on your journey, the 10 day pre-op diet will be the hardest part and perhaps a few days of discomfort proceeding surgery after that it should be up hill from there. I'm ' 9 months and haven't looked back.

Well I'm on day three of the pre op liquid diet and the hunger seems to have eased up as everyone said it would by day three. I'm sort of getting used to having a smoothie for Breakfast instead of bacon and eggs! Only 11 days to go!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
