Summer is over - packing away clothes!

Recommended Posts

I am putting away my summer clothes and bathing suits hoping I will never wear them again! I can't bring myself to get rid of them yet - I guess I still have my doubts about surgery happening (still waiting for a date) and my success. :-( What are others doing with summer clothes you hope will be way too big by next year?

I became addicted to Goodwill this summer and bought a bunch of "goal summer clothes" that are adorable. I can't fit in them yet (size 12/14 pants L/M tee shirts), but they are waiting for me for next summer! As for my clothes from this summer, my family says to burn them. They are so old and worn that no second hand store will want them!

I have some nice things - some never worn. I'll probably wait until next Spring and donate them. I bought a great pair of Seven jeans at salvation army that I look forward to fitting into them!

Living in Texas, I don't put summer clothes away as we never know if we will have an ice storm or a warm sunny day, and sometimes one right after the other. :-)

Don't give them away until you are ready. Maybe you will end up on a trip you don't know about yet and will need something!

I live in Florida, so summer isn't over yet for a few more weeks, lol, but I saved all my fat clothes. They are currently all in storage. I am 90% sure I will never wear them again even if I do gain weight because they are mostly old and worn out, but I felt like I was jinxing myself by getting rid of them. They are also probably a bit too worn to give to Goodwill and I felt wasteful throwing them out, so now they are cluttering up my storage unit.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
