21 DAYS UNTIL SURGERY WOOT WOOT! YAY ME!

So I am starting a few habits early- I already got my Water intake up to 124 ounces- made that a habit and have been at if for weeks already. But today I am starting the 30-30-30 rule- maybe if I spend the next couple of weeks doing it it will be easier after surgery...

What other things did y'all start BEFORE surgery to help get you in the groove of things?

I loved premier before surgery. Now I can't tolerate them, in any flavor

If you don't mind what is the 30-30-30

30-30-30 rule is not drinking 30 minutes BEFORE your meal, not drinking DURING the 30 minutes of your meal, and not drinking 30 minutes AFTER you meal. Hope this helps

I don't have a surgery date, but my insurance requires virtually nothing, so I get a date after my endoscopy on the 20th (pending nothing crazy showing up!) I've upped my h2o, gotten off cokes, gotten off all caffiene (HUGE deal there), started the 30/30/30, cut most of my carbs, started chewing thoroughly, etc. I have been taking my Vitamins religious for a few months, and trying to start a routine with it that for both myself AND my kids. I'm also going to go ahead and get a flu shot on the 6th. I never get them, but my luck I'll have the flu on my surgery date if I don't. Keep in mind, I don't have an actual date yet, and I wouldn't get vaxxed for anything if I wasn't expecting to wait a couple of months. Best of luck! That's so exciting!

I am 17 days from surgery and star my pre op on Monday! I too have started me habits mostly getting off Diet Coke and increasing my Water intake., documenting and monitoring my Protein intake and staying away from bread and Potaotoes. Caffeine will be tough for me but I think I can handle the rest!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
