Newly sleeved. Slow loss

Recommended Posts

I lost 10 lbs my first week. My second week is almost over and I've lost nothing. What the heck? I'm a band to sleeve revision and unfortunately comparing to the band where I lost 9 my first week and 4 my second. I'm so confused as I'm only having my Protein Shake and purees

I went through a stall around that same time. Keep doing what you are doing and increase your Water intake. I started losing a pound a day right after that.

It's a little bit discouraging especially with a post op infection. Making me wonder why I did this all

10lbs in 2 weeks is a good loss! Don't get discouraged - stick with your plan - Protein, Fluids, Vitamins - the weight will come off. Stay strong! If you stay at this rate - you'd have lost 100lbs at 20 weeks (5 months)! That's not small potatoes!

I also stalled at 2 weeks. So 2nd week nothing 3rd week nothing I was so obsessed with the scale I kept asking my husband what am I doing wrong why why why. Then I just read all the comments and others story's and they are right stop obsessing with the scale and stop feeling down it will go away and you will lose again. I'm so thankful to say I up my Protein and 3 1/2 weeks letter I'm losing again. So I'm a slow loser but better then nothing. I don't mind loosing a pound every other day or so. So hang in there and listen to others that have been here and done that we are lucky to have their support. Keep going it will happen soon.

10 lbs the first week is a lot considering all the fluids from the IV... most people gain weight during that week. Your body is just catching up. 10 lbs is a lot.

I gained almost 10lbs from the ivs! I'm only down 4lbs after surgery but I'm super excited. This is a tool not a magic wand. ..use it to your advantage! And stay away from the scale.

Darling, don't get discouraged. I too went from band to sleeve and I'm having a hard time not comparing my first weight loss to my current weight loss. I lost 100lbs in six months with the band. I lost the first week or two with the sleeve and immediately hit a stall. I've started exercising again and I'm seeing some slight movement on the scale but nothing like when I was banded. Even though my weight isn't falling off like before, I can see a difference in how clothes are fitting.

So keep your chin up and make adjustments. You might even consider doing measurements because maybe you're toning more but not moving the scale. Also, are you taking your Vitamins? My weight started to go down more when I started taking my Vitamins regularly as well. Good luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
