Can't seem to get back on track

Recommended Posts

I had surgery April 8, 2014 and was down a total of 90 lbs. I have slowly started gaining weight. I'm now only down 50 lbs. I need to get back on track, but I'm having the hardest time. At this time I'm able to pretty much eat anything, and much larger amounts then I used to after surgery. Any tips or advise will be greatly appreciated. I NEED to get back on track soooo bad. Any by the way, I have not had a Protein Shake in over 6 months. I should prob start with those again as a Meal Replacement.

There are two phases to weight loss surgery. These are the "Weight Loss" phase and the "Maintenance" phase. The strategy for each of these phase is very different. During the weight loss phase, weight loss is achieved through meal volume control. During the maintenance phase, weight is maintained through hunger control. I am 3 years post-op RNY and I am doing well in the maintenance phase. This short article describes my experience with the Maintenance phase. http://www.breadandbutterscience.com/Surgery2.pdf

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
