I think it might be what you are eating. Maybe check the calories on the shakes and the soup. Every surgeon is different and allowed diff foods. I wasnt allowed refried Beans till now and Im 3 weeks post op. Try drinking more Water. You can always ask your surgeon and see what he says.

Protein and Fluid should be your main goal.

When looking at what you're eating it appears to be a lot but How much of it are you consuming?

Meals shouldn't take longer than 30 mins to eat.

I could only get down my protein shake and a 1/2 of banana (if the banana was in the shake). 1/4-1/2 cup of soup and maybe a couple tbs of Beans.

Volume is a big deal.

If you're eating regular pre-op portions then yes you could be eating too much.

I can eat Beans on day 8 - not all plans require full liquids for weeks. I am on full liquids for days 1-7 and then puree.

That is also my plan but the way I am struggling with Fluid I have a hard time believing I'll be ready.

No need to rush! Go as slow as you need!
