  7. I have 4 doctors at the moment and I really hate the idea of going to one unless I really really need to. I haven't lost anything in almost 3 weeks so I figured since I was taking metformin prior to surgery, I should start it again. I did it very cautiously but without advising any of them so I guess it is too early. My period came so I am not taking it for that but just the insulin resistance.I had been taking metformin for over a year with no weight loss though.. English is my 6th language so forgive me if my sentences don't make any sense at times! Your cycle could be the reason why the weight is at a stall or not moving. Give it some time. Since I have been on my cycle I have consciously not stepped on the scale because I can feel the bloating and cramping due to my cycle. Stay hydrated and take yur Vitamins and yu should be ok because I was feeling the same way buy now that I am able to get in puree foods I feel a lot better and more energy Soon2B Sleeved

  9. Hi, I also have PCOS... I was taking metformin before my surgery as well. I also had an IUD placed before my surgery because my surgeon wants me to wait at 15 months before trying to conceive. I have been on my cycle since I was about 5 days post op. I think yu should give you body some time. I am not going to start back taking metformin. Your body went through major surgery and needs time to adjust and work itself out. I have read that being sleeved has a 80% chance of managing PCOS in women so I'm claiming that 80% and yu should to. Good Luck! Soon2B Sleeved

  11. Yu probably feel that way because you are not getting in enough fluids. Which yu will need to go back to the hospital if yu become dehydrated. I was sleeved on the 6/20/16 and it was very difficult to get my Protein in the first couple of days but it gets easier as each day passes. But yu have to SIP...SIP... SIP. All day if yu have to. I had to switch protein because my sleeve was refusing the milk based shakes... so I started using the protein that taste like fruit juice. You have to try different things until yu find what works for you!! But if yu don't feel any better yu may need to go to the hospital Soon2B Sleeved
  12. I am not a fan of Isopure, I drunk 2 of them the night before my surgery because yur not allowed anything after surgery until yur leak test (well atleast I wasn't) so that held me over. But the taste is very acquired... very strange after taste but good source of protein Soon2B Sleeved
  13. Premier is a good one and if yur looking for something along the lines of juice nectar is good as well and offers lots of flavors... I'm using Fuzzy Navel right now and it's delicious. Amazon and Vitamin Shoppe has it!! Soon2B Sleeved
  14. I had to do a 14 day pre-op diet. When I started my pre-op I was 259, when I weighed in the morning of surgery I was 234. It was mostly liquids... Water, Protein shakes, crystal light, sugar free pudding, sugar free Jello, broth, sugar free popsicles. It wasn't easy but it was worth it!!! Soon2B Sleeved

  19. I was using Premier and Body Fortress (both found in Walmart) before my surgery but I'm 1 week post-op today and my sleeve has not been able to tolerate either one of those. So I am now using nectar and it's great taste just like juice and yu mix it Water. They have it in Vitamin Shoppe and on Amazon Soon2B Sleeved
  20. I'm one week post-op today. I was told I could remove the bandages 3 days after surgery which I did and I could shower just don't soap up the SteriStrips and pat themoney dry. I have only lost one strip so far, it's looks like nothing was ever there!! My follow-up appointment is Thursday so I will see what they say! My incisions have not really given me any pain only slight discomfort from trying to lay on the right side. I can only lay on the left side. It gets better!! Soon2B Sleeved
  21. Hello Surgery Buddy I was sleeved on 6/20 also!!!! Listen, you are not alone by a long shot! I was saying to a close friend whom has already been through this that " this could not be my life right now"!! But it is and it will get better over time! I had a scale already at home that I have to tell myself every morning " Just walk past it" because I was stepping on it every morning since Wednesday wondering why the numbers wasn't moving. Im in the medical field so i already know why!! But I blame it on my meds .... The important thing to remember is this is a lifestyle change that will get better over time aND before you know it the weight will be dropping because we will be consuming food and nutrients and protein aND we'll feel great about it!! Don't sweat WE GOT THIS!!! BY the way I'm Jazz Soon2B Sleeved
