  10. I'm 5 months out. At 2 months l was forced to buy a new wardrobe and now at 5 months, my clothes are falling off again. My hubby laughs bc I'm constantly pulling up my pants and he thinks it's cute that l have to sort of roll the tops of my jammy pants to keep them up. The weird thing is that l really haven't lost that much. I was a low bmi and have lost 60 pounds. I only have 20 pounds left to goal. Sent from my LGMS550 using the BariatricPal App

  17. She's absolutely right. I actually felt as if l never had the surgery for a few months. I could eat whatever l wanted, no nausea or dumping. I figured out that the trick is dense Protein and no drinking for an hour. Now l can barely eat anything. I'm 4 months out and down 50 pounds which is really good considering l was a lower bmi (38) to begin with. My surgeon said I'm way ahead of schedule. The food slides right through if it's soft or if you drink and add liquid to it so it goes right through your system and doesn't give you a full feeling. If you want more info fb friend request me. 29. Today marks my 3 week surgiversary and l'm having horrible pains and foamies from eating cream of wheat. It's on my approved list but maybe l ate too much or too fast? I'm in so much pain. Is this dumping? Do l need to call the doc or just wait for it to pass? How long does it take? Help! Sent from my LGMS550 using the BariatricPal App
  30. It stops at 9 months and all grows back. Disclaimer: This is based on my research and others and not personal experience. I'm only 3 weeks post op.
  31. @@Cervidae What a great, supportive response. I agree. The important thing is to not beat yourself up or you will have a hard time getting past it and continue on a destructive path. At least, that's how I am. I can't say that I've cheated yet but I'm only 3 weeks out and still in that phase that I'm afraid to stray from the plan because I had surgery complications. It's so hard though. My doctor told me something that stuck with me. He said that I will see people stuffing their faces with fast food, pizza, cake, etc. forever and that I have to accept the fact that I can not eat like other people or I'm going to return to a life of obesity. RNY is once in a lifetime. That's it. If I blow it, I'm right back to where I started. My whole family (husband and 4 kids) are naturally slim and eat whatever they want. They are constantly stuffing their faces with delicious food right in front of me. I only have one son who is kind of a hippie and eats healthy. I just let them eat and sip on my shake bc I just have to let it go. I worked on this mental part before my surgery and have accepted it. Is it fair? Nope. But it's what I need to do. You will be fine. It was brave of you to reach out on here. That tells me that you're going to make it girl. You got this!!
  32. No that's not my experience at all. You need to call your center. I had RNY on 6/27 and had surgery complications and a brutal first week post op. My recovery was rough but I feel great now and have zero nausea or pain. I'm able to drink my water and protein very easily. I just started puréed food a few days ago and having no problems. I wonder if you're low on iron?
  33. This was happening to me and my doc said that as the insides are healing, they sort of tighten and that it's normal. Just to be safe though, you should ca the doc tomorrow.
