So far my husband and I are planning to find childcare just while I'm in the hospital but he can't take anymore time off work when we get home and I have a 2 year old. Do you think I'll be able to manage without overdoing it? Or should I arrange some help for a few days so I can actually rest and recover?

I will.also be having surgery and have to recover with a 2 1/2 yr old. I am going to see if my MIL can watch him for a few days for me to get back on my feet after.

You aren't supposed to lift more than 10 pounds at until about 4 weeks, so if you pick your toddler up, you are going to need help.

Plus you get tired fast and need naps. The nap time your toddler takes might not be enough.

Arrange for help, you have to recover and you don't want to risk a hernia.

I had surgery on the 8th. I have a 9 month old and a 3 yr old. For the first week I had help. After that I was totally fine taking care of them. I still don't pick up my three year old at all but my 9 month I do. You should be fine after a week!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
