Egg drop Soup became my new best friend today. That and a drained French onion soup with kimchi broth mixed.

So I talked to my surgeon and told him I'm getting less than 200 calories a day. He said he wouldn't worry about calories right now and just focus on staying hydrated and Protein. He said the Soups that you guys suggested are probably ok but everything else is not and to stick to the book I was given. I can't stand most things from the book anymore but I will stick too it. I'm nothing if I'm not stubborn so I will deal with it till I get to the next phase.

Hi. I had my surgery on 6/13 as well and can only drink about 8oz of Water. A few bites of food here and there. I have lost about 25lbs, but I think a stall is coming soon because I'm not able to eat a lot. I would love to hear how your doing with food and weight loss.

Surgery was 6/21 and I'm like you, I'm already over my Soups and broths. I like to cook real food so I jumped to soft foods early but now I regret it because I gained 2 pounds. My doctor said it was a bit early to move to soft foods so I decided to give the liquids/soups another try for 2 more weeks.

My favs so far have been the sugar free Popsicles and Hot and Sour Soup from my favorite Chinese restaurant. I might try the potato flakes with chicken broth as well.

Being a foodie, this is going to be a tough journey but with this support, I know I can make it through it. You will too

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
